Debra Mills has experience in real estate for over 20 years as an investor, buyer and seller and now as a Virginia licensed Realtor. Debra specializes and takes great pride in assisting the men and women of the armed services with relocation to and from the Hampton Roads area. She also assists her client seeking to downsize in listing their homes properly for the quickest sale with the most profit. She also gains incredible satisfaction working with first time home buyers and helping them achieve the joy of home ownership.
Debra’s believes that continuing education is paramount to proving exemplary services to her clients and has advanced her real estate education earning the Realtor designation and Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) designation. She also completed an intensive Advanced Individual Training Series covering a broad range of topics from marketing listings for quick sale to helping sellers who are in danger of foreclosure. She also holds a B.S. Degree in Education and Counseling, along with an Honors Certification as a Paralegal, from her alma mater, Old Dominion University.
Originally born in New York, Debra served her country as the child of an Air Force veteran and later as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. She relocated numerous times within the United States and to several oversees locations including the Philippine Islands, Guam, and Hawaii. She understands the circumstances that surround military relocations from personal experience and the unique housing needs of our service people.
Debra is a member of the Hampton Roads Realtor\'s Association (HRRA), Virginia Association of Realtors (VAR), National Association of Realtors (NAR), and the Real Estate Buyer\'s Agent Council (REBAC, a subsidiary of NAR). Debra feels that being a Realtor is about more than joining professional association, she believes Realtors should be involved in the communities where they work as well. Debra has served her community in many capacities from chairing committees providing assistance to children, the elderly and helping underprivileged residents for many years.
Her constant dedication to service and work ethic has earned her many awards throughout the years. Debra has had the honor of receiving the Virginia State Network Award for Service to Victims of Crime, having also been a past President. She also received the Norfolk InterAgency Council on Services to Youth Award for her Service as Chair. Additional accolades include being a City of Norfolk Class Act Award Nominee, Civitan Award and Nominee for Shore Sailor of the Year.
One of her proudest moments was when she was awarded Woman of the Year for the City of Jacksonville, North Carolina for her service to the community. Awards such as those Debra has earned don’t happen by accident. Her proven record of a strong work ethic, attention to detail, personal client attention, and a stellar education have been the keys to her past successes, and are the qualities her clients treasure.


When she isn’t serving her community and selling real estate, Debra enjoys tending her organic vegetable garden, reading, cooking, visiting art museums. Her other hobbies include traveling with her husband, Ric, to historical sites throughout Virginia, feeding the hummingbirds at her kitchen window, and attempting to learn to play golf.
